CEO / Founder
Michael Kadnar is a drummer, composer and the founder / CEO of Silent Pendulum Records. After gigging and touring for over 10 years, Michael saw the need for a musician-owned record label and started SPR. The very first release was Black Table's debut EP which Michael drummed on and released on vinyl.
As the music industry continues to evolve on a regular basis, Michael embraces these changes with SPR and is dedicated to growing the label and its bands while maintaining the integrity of each release. When he isn't playing drums in his numerous projects and handling day to day operations at SPR, Michael enjoys fitness, biking, eating new foods and traveling.
Lead Graphic Designer
Taylor Bates is a self trained graphic designer with over 15 years of experience developing album artwork, music videos, branding materials, merchandise and various other visual projects for bands of all sizes and calibers.
He is heavily involved in the Pacific Northwest music community as an energetic performer and lover of all things in the underground music and art scene. As a young teen, concerts and live music gave him a sense of acceptance and purpose – his primary ambition is to extend that inclusion to others who feel like they don’t fit the mold elsewhere.
If he’s not doing cartwheels in a diaper while dumping pool noodles on crowds with his band Steaksauce Mustache, then most likely he’s either fronting his progressive metal band Your Hands Write History, or pumping out thicc riffs and dirty jaunts on an 8 string for his Dark Groove project Hollowing.
