Stillbloom

Stillbloom is a four-piece progressive metalcore project split between Los Angeles and Denver featuring members of Seven Hours After Violet, Winds of Plague, Black Sheep Wall, and formerly Volumes (live). The band pairs crushing, angular riffs with classical nylon-string guitar, string quartets, and piano, threading moments of genuine beauty through walls of distortion.

Mitch Anthony started writing the earliest Stillbloom material in 2018, with the first drafts taking shape years before the full band existed. He and Josh Johnson had wanted to collaborate for years, but it took Mitch's two bouts with cancer to make clear the music couldn't keep waiting. Josh brought in Johnny Ortega, and a cold message to Andrew Hulle after nearly a decade of silence completed the lineup. When the four met in person, everything clicked.
