Know//Suffer

Know//Suffer is a heavy band from El Paso, Texas, rooted in tension that is emotional, spiritual, and physical. Built on massive grooves, dynamic restraint, and raw honesty, the band creates music that confronts weight rather than escaping it. Their sound balances crushing heaviness with moments of vulnerability, allowing space for both endurance and collapse.

The band is composed of Larry Gonzales, Jerry Griffin, Toast Williams, and Joseph James, each bringing a distinct voice to a shared vision grounded in intention and lived experience. Know//Suffer draws from modern metal and hardcore while prioritizing feel over flash. Every movement is deliberate, and every song is meant to sound scarred, human, and earned.

Their upcoming EP, The Curse of Care, releasing March 13, 2026 via Silent Pendulum Records, explores the cost of carrying too much for too long. The record examines responsibility, generational pressure, burnout, grief, and the quiet damage that can come from always being the strong one. Rather than offering resolution, the EP sits with discomfort and acknowledges that care, when left unchecked, can become a burden instead of a gift.

The Curse of Care is heavy in more than sound. It reflects what happens when devotion turns inward and begins to erode the self. Across the record, tension builds and releases in waves, mirroring the internal battle between control and surrender.

Know//Suffer exists to create space for honesty that is loud, uncomfortable, and necessary.
